Let friends play their favorite songs in your party. Set up a background playlist, Connect your stereo, Start the Party. When your guests select a new video, it will appear on top in the playlist. Your friends can also control the video.
The Shario JukeBox App is a remote control for the Jukebox Server Player. The app works by letting the user select youtube videos in the built in browser, then submitting them (press the cherry icon) to the Server.
The server and the app must be on the same wifi or lan. The setup and connection is automatic, the app's cherry icon will go green when connected to the server.
There are 2 players that can be remote controlled. One for apps, and one for the PC.
The App Server can be downloaded from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.shario.jukeboxappserver
The PC Server can be downloaded from http://www.shario.net. It has to be run on a windows PC, windows 7 or newer.
The App can remote control the playing video, select the remote icon in the top menu line in the app's built in browser.
The App has a menu for setting language, user name for displaying submitted videos on the server, displaying current playlist, information about the wifi and connected server, and an about section. Press the menu symbol in the app's built in browser to access the menu. Hopefully this is self explaining.
The App can also utilize the share mechanism in the youtube app, or in the phones regular browser. The app has to be running for this to work. See About section in the app's menu for more about using the share function.
The App and the Server has language selection of more than 60 languages.
The App can connect to any Jukebox server. There can be many Apps connected to each Jukebox server. The server software is free.
